1.  All Teacher Self Assessments and PLP's should be completed in Educate Alabama on today.

2.  The minimum numerical grade for an "F" is 50.  Please make sure your posted grades reflect this standard.

3.  For all students for which you have assigned the grade of "D" or "F" please prepare the following   documentation for grade level meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2014.

• Parent Notification of failing grades. (Calls, notes, letters, conferences, progress reports)
• Problem Solving Team Referral Form and documentation of intervention
• Completed Failing Student Profile Sheet.

4.  Healthy Living Walk - Thursday, October 23, 2014 1:15 to 2:00PM. Classes will walk 1 mile around the campus. Please invite your parents to participate.

5.  Magic City Classic Reading Pep Rally - Thursday October 23, 2014 @ 2:00 PM in the Gym.

IB Learner Profile

How can we instill the values of the International Baccalaureate World School Learner Profile into our students and our professional learning as educators?

Below are links to activities that will guide us in the process.

IB Learner Profile Activity 1

The week of October 13 - 17, 2014 will be IB Learner Week here at our school.   Students will be engaged in a variety of activities aimed toward embedding in them the characteristics of an IB Learner as described in the IB Learner Profile.

Students should complete an IB Learner Profile Project where they will demonstrate an understanding of each of the characteristics of an IB Learner and describe how they express those traits in their everyday educational pursuits.

Projects should contain the following elements.

A (1) page report describing the IB learner Profile
An Illustration of Each Characteristic of the IB Learner
